Tipping
In the USA and Canada, it’s normal to give tips to people in service jobs, such as taxi drivers, airport and hotel porters, bartenders and restaurant servers because most of the places don’t include a service charge on the check. However, in Europe it is often included on the bill, while in Asia, on the other hand, service people don’t expect any extra payment at all.
To tip or not to tip?
Since tipping customs are so different from country to country, the best advice is to always ask your foreign colleagues or customers about tipping in their countries.
