Job satisfaction
What is more important to you? Higher pay or fewer working hours? More challenging work or less stress? A survey of Canadian workers asked these questions to find the reasons that make jobs good or bad for employees.
While good pay was important to the workers surveyed, salary was only fourth on the list. Balance between work and personal life, chances for improving and the belief that customers are satisfied were all more important than that.
No more stress
Finally, employees wanted managers who listen to their opinions, ideas and communicate better when making workplace decisions.
Listen to the audio with measures and write the equivalences you hear. Then, check your answers with your colleagues.
